Description:
Applications are invited for 3 Marie Curie Individual Fellowship Positions to be hosted by the University of Wolverhampton, UK under the 2018 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Individual Fellowships (IF) Call. The Marie Sklodowska-Curie actions support researchers at all stages of their careers, regardless of age and nationality.

This Marie Curie Fellowship which is designed to promote excellence in research and to foster the exchange of knowledge provides the opportunity for researcher who complies with mobility rule to present a 18 or 24 months proposal

Individual Fellowship Description: 

  • Applications Deadline: September 12, 2018
  • Requirement: Experienced Researchers (more than 4 years research experience or in possession of PhD)
  • Proposals Subjects: The candidate will elaborate the proposal with the Faculty of Science and Engineering of the University of Wolverhampton (the host institution) as in the frame of Marie Sklodowska Curie Individual fellowships2018 programme, covering one of the following topics:
    • Monte Carlo study of the percolation and cluster structure of amorphous conductive insulating granular composites
    • Process Modelling of Assembly and Disassembly of Heterogeneous Electronic System Environments
    • Study of Solar Photovoltaic Module Interconnections failure analysis and reliability

Eligible Countries: Researchers of all nationalities are eligible to apply.

Entrance Requirements: Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • PhD or more than 4 years research experience in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)
  • The fellow should have research experience and a publication track record in one of the 3 topics above.
  • The fellow should have developed research experience in international research groups.
  • Researchers shall, at the time of the deadline for submission of proposals, be in possession of a doctoral degree or have at least four years of full-time equivalent research experience (measured from the date when he/she obtained the degree formally entitling him or her to embark on a doctorate).
  • Furthermore, at the time of the deadline for submission, researchers shall not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the UK, the country of their host organisation for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the reference date.

English Language Requirements: Applicants whose first language is not English are usually required to provide evidence of proficiency in English at the higher level required by the University.

Financial aspects:
Fellowship Award: The European financial contribution for a Marie Curie Fellowship is a flat-rate for the entire period of the project. The average salary of a MSCA fellow in the UK is typically around € 4000 (euros) per month (after taxes), including € 4880 for living allowance; € 600 for mobility allowance and where applicable, € 500 for family allowance.
